Interessenskonflikte
In accordance with CME/CPD accreditation criteria and standards for commercial support to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in CME/CPD activities, those in control of the educational content disclose potential or actual conflicts of interest, whether due to a financial or other relationship. Disclosure information is evaluated and conflicts of interest resolved. Disclosure is made to participants prior to the activity. Participants will be asked in the evaluation to assess the objectivity and independence of the event. The Planning Committee discusses and designs in detail the activity program, topics, faculty, and overall congress elements. The committee is appraised of the CME requirements, promoting a certain "peer review" during the planning process. Further, the congress president/CME director oversees the group's planning process to ensure that committee member conflicts of interest do not influence the planning phase and that the resulting program is independent from bias.
