If we identify an actual COI of a Member of the Organising/ Scientific committee, we resolve it in the following ways:
Peer review the course program. (= Any decisions about topics and speakers for the event are reviewed and approved by a planning committee member who does not have any relevant financial relationships before they are implemented).
Altering control over content (= Limit the role of the organizing member by giving no control over the selection of the content and speakers).
If not resolvable in any other way, Member of the Organising/ Scientific committee is excluded from the preparation of the scientific programme.
In addition, the evaluation form completed by participants includes a question on the faculty bias and the faculty members provide a COI declaration as a second slide of their presentation.
